Don Bolduc started carving decoys in 1990. It all began with the desire to create a piece of art to display upon a mantle. It was never planned that the first decoy would lead to a career in woodcarving. In order to achieve the current level of carving, Don had to endure numerous hours studying the anatomy of waterfowl. This was done utilizing a wide range of books published by other artisans. This proved to be an invaluable tool as it enhanced Don's techniques and also exposed him to other woodworking styles. Other resources include skins, cast molds, and stuffed ducks. |
